Every member of the department sacrifices their needs to help serve their family, friends, and community by giving in his/her own way. Around 5 pm Nov. 28th during moderate rain, we responded to an abandoned house fire. Although the house as fully evolved at the time of arrival, we had the fire out within minutes. The cause of the fire is unknown.

South Montgomery Co. VFD recently hosted a Volunteer Fire Fighter class.
Members from South Montgomery, Rolling Hills, and Pike Road attended this
class two nights a week and one Saturday a month from June through
September.  Thank you to the following South Montgomery members for the time
and dedication devoted to making this department stronger.  Congratulations
